I was born in Iraq, spent my childhood in England and moved to the US as a teen. Since then I have continued to move around and met many amazing people along the way. I now have the privilege of calling the wonderful city of Chicago my “home”. I also completed a degree in Nutrition Science at the University of Georgia which greatly influenced my decision to go into primary care and practice preventative medicine. Following undergrad, I went to the Chicago Medical School where I was first exposed to and fell in love with Family Medicine. My professional interests include weight management and obesity medicine, nutrition education for patients and within the medical school curriculum, preventative medicine, women’s health and integrative medicine. I also enjoy spending time with my lovely husband and my adorable dog Zoey.
