Biographical Info

Dr. Kelsie Avantsis an Associate Program Director and an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics. She completed her residency training at UIC and then served as Chief Resident for the Pediatrics residency program. She supervises residents in the pediatrics and internal medicine clinics, general pediatrics wards, internal medicine wards, and newborn nursery. Dr. Avants has interests in preventative health and chronic disease management for underserved populations, community public health and advocacy, medical education, and global health.
