Biography
Penny Feldmann started taking care of pregnant women in 1982, here at the University of Illinois Hospital. She worked in Labor and Delivery at two other hospitals before deciding to go back to graduate school to become a Certified Nurse-Midwife. She graduated and began working at the University of Illinois Hospital in 1995. Many people have come and gone in that time, but some things never change and that is her desire to provide individualized care for every woman she sees. She is committed to the normal birth process and keeping the cesarean section rate low. She also highly promotes Vaginal Births After Cesarean (VBACs and VBA2C). She is married, has two grown sons and 3 dogs. Her hobbies are camping and photography. You can schedule an appointment with her at the Center for Women’s Health on Taylor in the Outpatient Care Center.
