Biography

Julie Leung is certified nurse midwife in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at UI Health. Ms. Leung provides holistic, accessible span-of-life care to women from racially, culturally, and economically diverse backgrounds. Her clinical interests include natural, unmedicated labor and birthing management; breastfeeding; women’s health; and reproductive choice. Ms. Leung focuses on promoting, informing, supporting, and empowering women using the core midwifery values of compassionate partnership, individualized methods and choice, and therapeutic communication.
