A major priority for the College of Medicine is to encourage high-quality research and scholarly activities across all levels of clinical practice. To encourage this initiative among physicians-in training, the Dean’s office is developing and will fund a resident research and scholarly activities incentive program that will provide programmatic budgets for residents who are involved in research projects and who publish their work in peer-reviewed journals during their residency training.
To apply to the program, you are required to provide:
- Letter from the head or program director to attest the article is based on working during UIC residency and done primarily on UIC campus; the role the resident plays.
- Abstract showing the author(s) and affiliation
- Official Impact Factor (from Reuters Thomson JCR)
Submit all the above to Rachel and they will submitted to Phoenix in the Dean’s office.
