The Department of Radiology is pleased to announce six. of our faculty members are include in Top Doctors list by Castle Connolly.

For the past 30 years, the publishing organization Castle Connolly has provided the medical community and general public with a list of top doctors within their field. Each selected doctor is nominated by a peer and then goes through an extensive process of vetting by Castle Connolly.

Dr. James T. Bui is a board certified interventional radiologist. Dr. Bui completed medical school at University of California Irvine College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at University of Southern California and his fellowship in Northwestern. Dr Bui has been recognized as an outstanding doctor in multiple publications including Chicago Magazine.

Dr. Charles E. Ray is a professor and chair at UI Health radiology. Dr. Ray is also Associate Chief Executive Officer for Strategic Alignment at UI Health.  Dr. Ray is a board certified radiologist. Dr. Ray completed medical school at Rush Medical College of Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his radiology residency at  University of Illinois at Chicago and fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has received multiple honors and awards including making Chicago Magazine Top Doctors and Teacher of the Year award from UI Health Radiology.

Dr. Keith R. Thulborn is a board certified radiologist. He completed medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He completed his biochemistry Ph.D. at the University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia. He completed his radiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Thulborn has co-authored multiple publications including ‘Tesla for Neuroimaging on healthy and for-cause volunteers.’

Dr Uka Atueyi is a board certified radiologist. She received her Doctorate of Allopathic Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine and attended her radiology residency at University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr Atueyi is currently the Director of Clinical Services, Body and General Imaging and Director of Body Imaging fellowship at UI Health. She has received multiple awards including the Iron Person Award in Radiology Imaging Consultation.

Dr Michael Evan Bresler is Executive Vice Head of UI Health Radiology department. He is also a board certified radiologist and associate professor of radiology at UIC College of Medicine. Dr Bresler attended medical school at the University of Illinois and his radiology residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He is currently Chair at AIM Specialty Health Independent Multispecialty Physician Panel.

Dr Erin Neuschler is Associate Professor of Radiology division of Breast Imaging at UI Health and is a board certified radiologist. Neuschler attended Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. For residency, Dr Neuschler went to Northwestern Memorial Hospital Department of Radiology. Dr. Neuschler is currently the Cancer Center Liaison for Breast Imaging at University of Illinois at Chicago.
