Introducing a New Faculty Lobna Elkhadragy, PhD

The Department of Radiology is pleased to announce that Dr. Lobna Elkadragy has been promoted to the position of Research Assistant Professor within the department of Radiology.

Dr. Lobna Elkhadragy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and her Master of Science degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Cairo University, Egypt. She completed her PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology) at Wright State University in Ohio, followed by postdoctoral training at the Department of Radiology, University of Illinois at Chicago. Throughout her academic journey, Dr. Elkhadragy had received numerous awards, including the Graduation Honor Degree from Cairo University, the Graduate Student Excellence Award from Wright State University, and awards at annual meetings of the International Liver Cancer Association and the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.

Dr. Elkhadragy’s research focuses on the development of preclinical cancer models and the discovery of innovative precision medicine strategies for liver cancer. She is enthusiastic to join the Department of Radiology research team and to make valuable contributions to the field of liver cancer research, paving the path for breakthroughs in treatment and diagnosis, and offering hope for improved patient outcomes.
