Dr. Nijhawan is a visionary in interventional and diagnostic radiology with over 20 years of experience in advancing patient care and education. He has held influential roles at the Mayo Clinic Health System, including Department Chair of Radiology and Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
Dr. Nijhawan is renowned for his groundbreaking contributions to multidisciplinary patient care. He founded and led innovative conferences focusing on dialysis access, vascular disease, and aneurysm management—transforming how we approach these complex conditions. As an active member of professional societies like the Society of Interventional Radiology, Dr. Nijhawan’s expertise is both broad and specialized, making him an invaluable asset to UIC Radiology.
