Breast Imaging/Mammography:
The Center for Breast Care’s Breast Imaging Center is an American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. We offer a full range of the breast imaging services, including screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and image-guided biopsy. We are one of the leaders of breast imaging service in the Chicagoland area and our radiologists are specially trained in breast imaging.

Interventional Radiology
Interventional radiologists use imaging technology to dramatically reduce the pain, risk, and recovery time our patients who have a growing range of conditions, including varicose veins and uterine fibroids, by replacing traditional surgery with minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Magnetic resonance imaging is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to form pictures of the anatomy and the physiological processes of the body in both health and disease.
Radiology at UI Health is home to 3T and 9.4T MRIs, which provide incredible resolution, image quality, and scan time that result in to improve patients’ MRI experience.

Nuclear Medicine / PET CT
Radiology at UI Health offers a full range of CT procedures, including PET (positron emission tomography), to determine the presence and extent of most cancers, neurodegenerative diseases, and cardiovascular disease.
PET/CT imaging is a non-invasive procedure used to determine the presence and severity of most cancers, neuro-degenerative and cardiovascular diseases.
In PET/CT, nuclear medicine images are superimposed with CT) to produce more precise information and accurate diagnoses. PET is able to detect certain diseases before other imaging modalities by visualizing the metabolic processes occurring in the body.

Ultrasound
UI Health radiologists are specially trained in ultrasound imaging, with a focus in the area of pediatric ultrasound. We use state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, including 4D ultrasound, for imaging that helps in the diagnosis and treatment of many medical conditions.
