We invite you to consider a gift to the University of Illinois Foundation to help create a brilliant future for the UIC Department of Family Medicine!

You can gift to any of the following funds

  • UIC Family Medicine Unrestricted: Gifts to the Family Medicine Unrestricted Fund provide a flexible and powerful form of support because they provide a pool of available resources that can easily be directed to where they are needed most within the Department of Family Medicine.
  • UIC Family Medicine Residency Unrestricted Fund: The Family Medicine Residency Program has established a new global health initiative under the direction of the Residency Program Director and faculty to provide resident rotations for the understanding of international health education.

The fund provides annual recognition for demonstrating excellence in academic achievement in the areas of education, research and scholarly work to a deserving family medicine faculty and resident.
  • UIC Family Medicine Social Justice Fund: Family doctors serve in areas of need, caring for the most vulnerable in many settings. The American training landscape is rapidly evolving and family physicians must be prepared to serve incredibly diverse populations. The Family Medicine Social Justice & Human Rights Fund was established to provide support for educational activities for faculty, residents and students who desire advanced training in caring for/advocating for special populations such as LGBTQ, racial & ethnic minorities, the homeless and immigrants. Topics such as racism in healthcare, gender medicine, housing insecurity, correctional medicine, addiction medicine, caring for the homeless and reproductive health are among the many aspects of health disparities central to our residency training.
  • Patrick Tranmer Fund: Established in 2019, gifts to the Patrick A. Tranmer, MD, MPH Fund will support the advancement of community engagement research, scholarship, and faculty development activities in Family and Community Medicine.
