Vinayak Sant, PhD, joined the faculty of Department of Physiology and Biophysics, UIC in March 2023. He also holds secondary appointment at Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the College of Pharmacy. Dr. Sant has extensive experience in Drug Product development and over 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Before moving to UIC, he was a faculty member at University of Pittsburgh’s School of Pharmacy from 2012 to 2023. Dr. Sant completed his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Mumbai, India, followed by postdoctoral fellowship at University of Montreal, Canada. Dr. Sant’s research interests are in the area of drug delivery and product development with expertise in nanotechnology and solubility enhancement for poorly soluble drugs.
