Promotion: Sang-Oh Yoon, PhD
Congratulations to Dr. Sang-Oh Yoon on the promotion to the rank of Associate Professor on Indefinite Tenure. Sang-Oh joined the UI Peoria faculty in 2016 and then became part of the UIC faculty in 2020, at which time he adeptly continued his work investigating cancer cell signal transduction, cell metabolism, and how therapeutic interventions of key signaling pathways impact cancer. His research continues to focus on molecular wiring in cancer cells through signaling pathways such as PI3K/Akt/mTOR and Ras/Raf/ERK.
