Promotion: Daniel Shaye, PhD
Congratulations to Dr. Daniel Shaye on the promotion to the rank of Associate Professor on Indefinite Tenure. Dan joined the UIC faculty in 2016 and established his lab to study the genetic underpinning and cell biological processes of tubulogenesis. His research spans use of C. elegans and human cells to understand tube formation and relate these finding to our understanding of angiogenesis. This work forms a cornerstone to understand formation of key cellular structures that guide several bodily functions, such as delivery of oxygen and blood in humans.
