“The Role of the HER2 Delta16 Variant in Tumor Invasion and Immune Evasion”

Dr. Roux will present novel data highlighting the dual role of HER2 and its spliced variant delta exon16, in cancer progression. Specifically, he will discuss how HER2 upregulates ENPP1, contributing to immune evasion by modulating the tumor microenvironment. Additionally, he will explore HER2-driven reprogramming of the cell-surface proteome, focusing on alterations in integrin expression that promote enhanced tumor invasion. These findings provide deeper insights into the molecular mechanisms by which HER2 contributes to cancer aggressiveness and highlight potential therapeutic targets for improving immune responses and limiting metastatic spread.
