About

I received my Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from the University of Chicago studying metastasis suppressor genes in prostate cancer.  From there I joined the laboratory of Dr. John Isaacs at Johns Hopkins University to conduct a post-doctoral fellowship in Oncology, Urology, and Chemical Therapeutics.  My post-doctoral research focused on prostate stem cells, prostate cancer stem cells, and Androgen Receptor biology in normal prostate development and prostate disease.  My current research program focuses on transcription factors that serve important functions in prostate development, prostate cancer, and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), with the ultimate goal of developing more effective tools for staging and treating prostate cancer and BPH.
