About
I am originally from Northern Virginia, near DC. I went to James Madison University for undergraduate and obtained a degree in biology. From there I then went to American University of Barbados to obtain my medical degree. Before starting residency, I had the opportunity to work at Walter Reed’s informatics department as a clinical chart analyst as well as a clinical data scientist. I then began my internal medicine residency in Dothan AL at Southeast Health and was honored to serve as a 3rd year Chief. I knew from my experiences during undergrad in statistics as well as my time at Walter Reed that informatics was the route I wanted to go into as it has transformative power in healthcare. I hope to utilize new technological applications, including further study into artificial intelligence to help contribute to the improvement of healthcare delivery. Additionally, as physicians, we owe it to ourselves to make our day–to–day tools work for us in order to achieve better outcomes for all.
