Dr. Cabay has American Board of Pathology certification in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and cytopathology along with expertise in head and neck pathology. His internal and external collaborations with renowned clinicians and researchers have resulted in numerous publications in a wide variety of peer-reviewed medical and dental journals. During his multidisciplinary career at the University of Illinois Chicago (UI Health), Dr. Cabay maintained a position as an attending physician with academic appointments in the Departments of Pathology and Otolaryngology in the College of Medicine and in the Department of Oral Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences in the College of Dentistry. He also served patients and his medical and dental colleagues as a cytopathologist and surgical pathologist with special interest in head and neck pathology while participating in the education and training of many fellows, residents, and students.
