About
Dr. Dara Adams is a board-certified otolaryngologist and fellowship-trained rhinology and skull base surgeon in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UI Health.As a specialist in sinonasal disease, her areas of expertise include nasal obstruction, allergy, sinusitis, nasal polyps, and sinonasal tumors. She is experienced with the latest technological advances in the field and specializes in minimally invasive endoscopic approaches to treat sinonasal as well as skull base and orbital pathology, including pituitary and other tumors, cerebrospinal fluid leaks, blocked tear ducts, and thyroid eye disease.
Dr. Adams specializes in the endoscopic treatment of sinonasal problems including chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, smell disorders, benign and malignant tumors of the sinonasal cavity and skull base, cerebrospinal fluid leaks, and orbital pathology including blocked tear ducts. She treats pediatric and adult patients with both Rhinology and General Otolaryngology problems.
Dr. Adams is actively involved in research on medical and surgical outcomes of chronic rhinosinusitis, olfactory dysfunction, and quality and safety initiatives within otolaryngology. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and frequently presents her research at national conferences.
