Specialty Care Building Chicago, IL Heading link
The SCB building is connected to the main hospital by an enclosing bridge and features six floors of patient care space that accomodates surgical care, education, and research. It features eight operating rooms and a 24 pre/post-PACU bays, including an onsite pharmacy.
Our new state-of-the-art facility includes new technology and functionality for an improved patient experience including Check-in Kiosks, Wafindeing and Valet Parking.
Jesse Brown Veterans Medical Center Chicago, IL Heading link
The Jesse Brown Veterans Administration Medical Center is also located in the Illinois medical district and is two blocks from the Eye and Ear Infirmary. The VA Hospital rotation provides further experience in general otolaryngology with an emphasis on head and neck surgery and general otolaryngology.
John Stroger - Cook County Hospital Chicago, IL Heading link
Cook County Hospital is also located in the Illinois Medical District and is a level one trauma center. It is three blocks from the Eye and Ear Infirmary. Cook County Hospital provides experience in general otolaryngology with an emphasis on head and neck surgery, trauma and otology.
Lurie Children’s Hospital Heading link
The University of Illinois Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery has a long-standing relationship with Lurie Children’s Hospital. The otolaryngology residents from the University of Illinois rotate to Children’s for six months of their R3 year. This rotation provides an intensive experience in pediatric otolaryngology including pediatric otology and advanced airway management.
NorthShore University Health System Heading link
The University of Illinois Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery has a relationship with NorthShore University Health System, an integrated healthcare delivery system including Glenbrook, Evanston, Highland Park and Skokie Hospitals. The otolaryngology residents from the University of Illinois rotate to NorthShore during their R4 year. This rotation includes both medical and surgical experience with fellow-ship trained physicians.
