Dr. Mejia named Chair of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Board of Councilors
Chicago orthopaedic hand surgeon Alfonso Mejia, MD, MPH, FAAOS, vice head of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), was named chair of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ (AAOS) Board of Councilors. He will assume the new position following the AAOS 2023 Annual Meeting in Las Vegas.
