Fellowship Information Heading link

Post-residency graduates seeking broad exposure to the full spectrum of neuroradiology with sufficient senior clinical experience to warrant a focused experience to build upon his/her acquired skills.

Foreign graduates already licensed in their own country, who are ECFMG certified (with the completion of Steps 1 and 2, CSA, and TOEFL), will be considered.

Program Length:
24 Months

Program Purpose:
Our goal is to provide the additional experience necessary for UIC/COM fellow in Neuro-endovascular Surgery as part of their overall training in Endovascular specifically rotation at affiliated community hospitals, which will provide a greater volume and concentrated exposure to Neurointerventional management of acute stroke, intracranial and extrancranial occlusive disease, and related endovascular and neurosurgical management of such conditions.  This is due to the different case mix compared to the primary site where the Neuroendovascular exposure is heavily weighted towards aneurysms and vascular malformations, and provides less exposure to the experience noted above.  The program is aimed at post-residency US neurosurgeons who wish to deepen their interest in this specialty.
