Our Campuses

The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine (UIC-COM) is the largest and most diverse medical school in the country and is located in the heart of the world’s largest medical district. The College of Medicine Urban Health Program (COM-UHP) is the largest of the six Urban Health Programs at University of Illinois, assisting in the recruitment, retention and graduation of about 370 underrepresented minority students across the four years of study at UIC-COM. COM-UHP provides programming/services for future students, current medical students, and alumni serving approximately 3,000 constituents across the continuum.

There is a COM-UHP Office located on each of UIC-COM educational sites (Chicago, Urbana, Peoria and Rockford). Each Office works with the respective Student Affairs, Academic Affairs Offices to form what COM-UHP calls “Student Success Teams” on each campus.  Therefore, irrespective of the UIC-COM campus that a student may be assigned, there are COM-UHP team members who are partners in their success.
