Dr. Robert T. Egel is a pediatric neurologist who holds the rank of Clinical Professor in the Departments of Neurology and Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He participates in multidisciplinary clinics at the Eye and Ear Infirmary in Pediatric Neuro-ophthalmology and Neurocutaneous Disorders. Dr. Egel has lectured on local, regional and national levels and has published articles on a variety of topics of interest within the field of pediatric neurology.

 

Dr. Egel received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine and Science in 1971. He spent 2 years in pediatric residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital (Chicago, Illinois) then completed a neurology residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center (Lexington, Kentucky).

Dr. Egel is dual board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He has been an examiner for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology for over 25 years.
