Dr. Octavia Kincaid is Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago.

Dr. Kincaid is the Director of the Neurology Residency Program as well as the Chair of the Department Educational Committee. She is active in the Consortium of Neurology Program Directors and represents the Department in the Association of University Professors of Neurology. In addition to a strong interest in Neurological Education, Dr. Kincaid specializes in Neuromuscualr Medicine. She cares for patients with ALS, Muscular Dystrophy, Neuropathy, Myasthenia Gravis and other Neuromuscular Diseases. She performs electrodiagnostic testing, including Single Fiber EMG, in the EMG lab at Univerisity of Illinois Hospital.

Dr. Kincaid received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed residency training in Neurology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She also completed post-residency fellowship training in both Clinical Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular Medicine, both at University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dr. Kincaid is certified in Neurology and Neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
