Biographical Info
Dr. Young is certified by the American board of Urology and is a Fellow, American College of Surgeons. After three decades in private practice as the head of Urology sections at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital Medical Center, both in Chicago, he joined the Urology faculty at UIC. Dr. Young is the Director of the Division of Urology Innovation and Technology, and is the UR*Lab Director at the UIC Innovation Center. He is involved in the development of surgical instruments and medical device innovation. Dr. Young is engaged in teaching undergraduate and graduate students, as well as Urology residents and Fellows during their research. Alongside his UIC work, Dr. Young has authored both non-fiction and fictional novels.
