Biographical Info
Mahmoud Mima, MD earned his medical degree at Aleppo University School of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria. He completed a urology residency at Ibn Roshed & Alrazi hospitals in Aleppo, Syria, and an Andrology Fellowship at University of Illinois at Chicago with Dr. Craig Niederberger.
Dr. Mima has a broad experience in urology trauma and special interest in male infertility and male sexual health including evaluation and treatment, genetic causes of infertility, testosterone replacement, and microsurgical procedures such as vasectomy reversal, varicocelectomy, and testicular sperm retrieval, erectile dysfunction, penile prosthesis implantation, male slings, urinary sphincters and Peyronie’s disease.
Dr. Mima is a member of several urological societies including the American Urological Association, American Society of Reproductive Medline, and the Chicago Urology Society. His ongoing research at the Innovation Center implies the application of new design to cryopreserve very low sperm count to be easily retrieved and used for in-vitro fertilization.
