University of Illinois Hospital ranked “High Performing” in Cancer and Nephrology divisions for 2018-19 US News and World Report

2018-19 U.S. News and World Report ranking

U.S. News and World Report, online news magazine have released the National 2018-19 Best Hospital rankings for the 29th Annual year running. The online news magazine best known for ranking all the Colleges, Universities, Hospitals nationally has compared more than 4,500 medical centers across 25 specialties, procedures and conditions for the 2018-19 Best Hospital rankings.

University of Illinois Hospital was one among the 1,100 hospitals that were rated “High Performing” in at least one procedure or condition. Under the Department of Medicine – Division of Nephrology and Division of Hematology & Oncology were ranked high performing with an overall score of 65.9 and 54.6 respectively. About the rankings
The rankings are assessed by evaluating data on nearly 5,000 hospitals in various specialties, procedure and conditions. For each specialty, top 50 hospitals are ranked and those that are not ranked but make the top 10% list are recognized as the High Performing.
