Cancer Center Prize Competition
The Cancer Center sponsored an award as part of the College of Medicine’s Research Day on Friday, November 9, 2018.
We are proud to announce the 2018 award winners for the Cancer Center prize competition is:
First Place Winner – Prize $750 for research related expenses:
Logan Schwarzman (Urology)
Title: “The Association of Previous Prostate Biopsy Related Complications and the Type of Complication with Patient Compliance with Rebiopsy Scheme”
Co-Authors: Michael Abern, Daniel Garvey, Gerald Andriole, Stephen Freedland, Daniel Moreira
Second Place Winner – Prize $250 for research related expenses:
Alexander Terry (Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics)
Title: “The Role of CD36 in tumor redox homeostasis”
Co-Author: Nissim Hay
