UI Health Radiology Welcomes Dr. Sonia Bobra to the Neuroradiology Division
The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) is proud to welcome Sonia Bobra, MD, MPH to the Department of Radiology’s Neuroradiology Division.
Dr. Bobra is a board-certified neuroradiologist whose clinical expertise includes advanced imaging in diagnostic neuroradiology. She brings a strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and program development, as well as a passion for improving patient care through innovation.
Throughout her career, Dr. Bobra has published extensively and contributed to global health initiatives, including projects in Tanzania and India. Prior to joining UI Health, she directed residency education and led medical student clerkships at Hines VA Hospital, demonstrating a deep dedication to educating the next generation of physicians.
Dr. Bobra completed her medical degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. She then completed her residency at the University of Illinois Hospital and Harlem Hospital Center (Columbia-Presbyterian) in New York, followed by a fellowship in neuroradiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Bobra enjoys traveling with her family, engaging with her community, and performing Indian dance interests that reflect her energy and connection to people both inside and outside of medicine.
