Julie Bobitt, PhD, has received funding from the Midwest Roybal Center for Health Promotion and Translation to conduct a mixed-method evaluation of Wits Wellness, a holistic, multi-modal workshop series for adults ages 50 and over.
Using a two-arm randomized controlled trial to determine the feasibility and acceptability of Wits Wellness at locations throughout Illinois, Dr. Bobitt and her team will examine the preliminary efficacy of Wits Wellness on changes in cognitive function, self-efficacy, socialization, sleep, stress, and physical activity levels.
Midwest Roybal Center is one of thirteen Edward R. Roybal Centers for Research on Applied Gerontology funded with a grant from the National Institute on Aging.
