Research Currently in Progress
Dr Vigneshwaran Vellingiri is currently investigating the underlying mechanisms that regulate endothelial functions. Particularly his research focusses on the EC specific genes in maintaining anti-inflammatory niche to prevent neutrophil activation and inflammatory injury. This will help in developing effective treatments of vascular diseases such as cardiovascular disorders, Chronic kidney disease and lung injury through new means of preventing the activation of endothelium
