Dr. Mannheim is a pediatric infectious diseases physician in Chicago with a strong commitment to transforming day-to-day clinical challenges into improved strategies for preventing and treating infections. His work focuses on reducing the burden of HIV and other infectious diseases through research that advances new diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccines, particularly for communities experiencing the greatest health disparities.
His prior research has examined MRSA colonization and its relationship to invasive disease, as well as the impact of socioeconomic factors on infectious disease risk and outcomes. Dr. Mannheim completed the NIH-funded TL1 Postdoctoral Program in Clinical Research, Biomedical Informatics, and Health Equity, further strengthening his expertise in study design, data interpretation, and collaborative research.
