About
Hometown: Palatine, IL
College: University of Rochester
Medical School: University of Illinois at Chicago
Career Aspirations/Interests: academic medicine, primary care focusing on YYAs, complex care, and transitional care. I also really love combined Med-Peds Rheumatology and combined Endocrinology!
Current Extracurriculars/Research: Public health research exploring the barriers adolescents face when obtaining reproductive healthcare. I am excited to work with Dr. Hickey to grow the transition consult service and solidify a Transition Medicine elective for M4 students.
Hobbies: Hosting dinner parties, baking, reading, painting, crafting, and hanging out with my two cats, Ham and Chicken!
Other Interesting Facts: I’m a big architecture nerd and try to visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s houses if there is a tour of one in whatever city I’m visiting.
What I Love About UIC: The focus on robust primary care for people of all ages, regardless of their insurance or ability to pay, made it evident that UIC shares my values through and through. I loved training at UI Health as a med student because of the patient population, and I wanted to continue to train at a safety net hospital during my training. Working with attendings in the Two-Generation Clinic and the Lifespan Disability Clinic modeled precisely the kind of physician I want to be. The UIC Med-Peds team shares my commitment to advocacy-oriented medicine, all while being the most down-to-earth, fun people that I am honored to learn from! Also, as someone born and raised in the area, it is a dream come true to get to heal and serve my fellow Chicagoans.
