Amit Sethi is an adjunct faculty member at the Department of Pathology, UIC, and an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. His research interests are computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning and their applications to medical data. He is particularly interested in building and validating computer models to predict prognosis and genomic sub-type of cancers from digitally scanned pathology slides. He obtained his PhD from Illinois in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Bachelors from IIT Delhi in Electrical Engineering. He has previously worked at IIT Guwahati and ZS Associates (Chicago). |
