Akash has interests in Dermatopathology and Surgical
Pathology.
Outside of residency, Akash enjoys cooking at home
and trying new restaurants around Chicago. A tech
enthusiast, he enjoys playing video games,
weightlifting, and hanging out with friends and family.
Akash chose UIC for its strong clinical training and
supportive environment. During his interview day, he
was impressed by how friendly and welcoming the
residents and faculty were. He also appreciated the
program’s research opportunities and felt it was a place
where he could grow as a physician
