Juliana’s PhD research focused on how Th2 cytokines and urban particulate matter reshape sinonasal epithelial function and antiviral defense in chronic rhinosinusitis. She was recognized by the UIC MSTP Alumni Association as the most outstanding MD-PhD student completing their PhD and returning to the 3rd year of medical school in 2025.
