Juliana Theorell inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society
Juliana Theorell receives Award
Founded in 1902, AΩA is a national medical honor society that recognizes medical students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, professionalism, leadership, research, and service to the community. At UIC, students are first nominated by the College of Medicine and subsequently selected for induction through a competitive process.
Juliana’s selection recognizes her accomplishments across both her medical and research training as an MD-PhD student. During her PhD in the Veiga-Lopez Lab, her research focused on how immune and environmental factors shape sinonasal epithelial function and antiviral defense in chronic rhinosinusitis.
Congratulations Juliana!
