Bio:
Dr. Allison completed residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and served as a Chief Resident from 2011-2013. He served as a pathologist in the U.S. Air Force from 2013-2017 at Langley Air Force Base, VA. After finishing his military service, he then completed a Fellowship in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2018. His primary functions as a faculty member will be in support of the transfusion service, surgical pathology, and medical student phase 1 curriculum.

– Using thromboelastography and other point-of-care coagulation tests to inform intra-operative transfusion practice
