Dr. Neelam Patadia is a Visiting Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at UIC. She serves as an attending optometrist in the Comprehensive Ophthalmology service, where she provides full-scope, comprehensive optometric care.
Dr. Patadia received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. She completed a residency in Primary Eyecare at the Portland VA Medical Center in Oregon.
Dr. Patadia is a Fellow and an active member of the American Academy of Optometry. She is active in global eye care initiatives and serves on the Board of Directors for both Volunteer Optometry Services to Humanity (VOSH) International and the VOSH-Illinois state chapter, reflecting her commitment to advancing eye health access worldwide. Her clinical interests include primary eyecare, ocular disease management, and community outreach.
