About
Dr. Sarah Werner, MD, is a fellowship-trained Gynecologic Oncologist who brings exceptional clinical expertise, academic excellence, and a strong commitment to advancing women’s health. She completed her fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York, and her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lenox Hill Hospital, Northwell Health in New York.
Dr. Werner’s research interests span clinical trials, health disparities, and surgical innovation in gynecologic oncology. Her scholarly work has been featured at major national and international meetings, including the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO), American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), and Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM). She has also authored numerous peer-reviewed publications contributing to advancements in cancer care and women’s health outcomes.
Beyond her clinical and research endeavors, Dr. Werner is deeply committed to leadership, mentorship, and advocacy. She has served as Resident Research Chair, contributed to the Enhance recovery after surgery protocol (ERAS) and simulation committees, and actively engages in health policy advocacy through ACOG to promote equitable access to quality care.
Dr. Werner is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to women with gynecologic cancers and to training the next generation of physicians and scientists.
