Senior Researchers Kate Craemer, MPH and Emilie Glass-Riveros, MA attended the Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative (ILPQC) Conference in Springfield, Illinois on May 21, 2025, to advertise the statewide Maternal Health Emergency Department Toolkit training program.
At this conference, they connected with dozens of maternal health leaders at birthing hospitals in Illinois about making the training available in their institution. Kate and Emilie also had the pleasure of meeting with the Administrators and Obstetric Educators of the regional Administrative Perinatal Centers (APCs) who are key partners on this statewide project.
The UIC Center for Research on Women and Gender is a proud collaborator with ILPQC. The Maternal Health Emergency Department Toolkit training fulfills the training component of the new ILPQC Perinatal Mental Health Initiative.
