Welcome Sybil Hosek, PhD, as the New Director of CDIS!
Leading the Charge in HIV Research and Implementation Science: Introducing Our New Director:
We are excited to announce that Sybil Hosek, PhD, has been appointed as the new Director of the Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science (CDIS), effective October 7, 2024.
Dr. Hosek is a seasoned researcher with over 20 years of experience in HIV-related research, prevention strategies, and adolescent health. She previously served as Director of Research in the Department of Psychiatry at John Stroger Hospital of Cook County. In her role as Co-Principal Investigator for the NICHD-funded Adolescent Trials Network for HIV Interventions (ATN), she has contributed extensively to the development of prevention strategies, including PrEP safety and adherence for adolescents and young adults in the U.S. and South Africa.
Her work focuses on advancing public health through innovative behavioral interventions aimed at improving health outcomes for underserved populations. Dr. Hosek earned her PhD in Clinical-Community Psychology from DePaul University and brings a wealth of expertise to CDIS.
