Celebrating Global Health Graduates
Introduction
On June 4, the UIC Center for Global Health celebrated the graduation of 14 residents and fellows from UIC’s Graduate Global Health Program. Dr. Tirsa Marien Ferrer Marrero, from the division of pulmonary critical care, sleep and allergy was one of the graduates. Five of the fourteen graduates completed the Advocates Track, participating in global health-focused seminars, journal clubs, and other educational activities. Nine participants completed the Scholars Track, which required an additional mentored global health scholarly project.
