Ashley Kendall Recognized with Department of Medicine Rising Star Award

Ashley Kendall, PhD, Assistant Professor and Associate Center Director for the Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science, was recently honored with the Department of Medicine Rising Star Award as part of the University of Illinois Chicago’s 2025-2026 research and scholarship annual awards. This award highlights junior faculty members who have demonstrated exceptional potential to become future leaders in research, scholarship, and academic impact.

Dr. Kendall’s research focuses on the use of mobile health (mHealth) technologies to understand and address the intersection of emotions, risk-taking behaviors, and health outcomes among high-risk populations, including youth involved with the juvenile justice system. Her work integrates innovative methodologies and a commitment to improving health equity through culturally informed research and intervention development.
