SAIL Launches New Pilot Conflict Resolution Training Initiatives for Healthcare Professionals
Introduction
The Simulation and Integrative Learning (SAIL) Institute is excited to launch several new pilot conflict resolution training programs for healthcare professionals this week as part of the expansion of our Conflict Resolution for Healthcare Providers initiative.
These programs combine focused communication skill-building with experiential simulation using professional actors and simulation specialists in psychologically safe learning environments designed to support deliberate practice, reflection, and professional growth.
Current pilot initiatives include:
- UIH Chief Residents Academy Conflict Management Workshop
A program focused on navigating challenging conversations with colleagues and team members through targeted didactics and simulation-based practice. Participants engage in interactive learning experiences designed to strengthen communication strategies, feedback conversations, and conflict navigation skills in healthcare team settings. - A Collaboration with the Illinois Behavioral Health Workforce Center
A colleague-to-colleague conflict resolution program designed specifically for supervisors and behavioral health professionals. This initiative emphasizes communication strategies, feedback conversations, and deliberate practice through simulation to support effective workplace interactions and team dynamics.
SAIL’s conflict resolution programming reflects our broader commitment to experiential learning in healthcare education. We are excited to continue expanding this work and exploring future partnerships across healthcare education and practice.
