Dr. Barbara Jung, Chief of the Division Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and her lab will be mentoring Alyssa Murillo, a recipient of a 2017 Investing in the Future Student Research Fellowship. The fellowship is sponsored by the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Institute and requires recipients to work on a research project for a minimum of eight weeks. A scientific progress report is required upon completion of the project. Recipients are also encouraged to submit an abstract for presentation at the 2018 Digestive Diseases Week (DDW) to be held in Washington, D.C.
