As one of the nation’s largest medical colleges, the College of Medicine provides many opportunities for alumni to engage with our students, residents and faculty to further its mission. You might consider forming a local alumni group in your region to support our students in selecting an elective clinical rotation, advising resident physicians about practice opportunities, and supporting one another’s practice via informal and formal consultations. The council looks to you, our enthusiastic alumni, for additional ideas to strengthen our network of practicing and retired physicians and biomedical scientists.
Currently, MAC activities include participation in the COM’s annual White Coat ceremony, Match Day, Commencement and Homecoming Weekend. MAC members and alumni also volunteer with COM admissions interviews and as volunteer faculty members for various clinical departments. Any contribution of your time, talents and resources is critical to the success of our alumni council and the advancement of inspired and impassioned medicine at the college.
