The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology will be hosting two Dr. C.M. Craig Fellowship recipients this summer, Jessica Strzepka and Alvin George. Jessica will be working on a project under the guidance of Dr. Barbara Jung, Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology while Alvin will be under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Carroll, Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Fellowship Program.

The purpose of the Dr. C.M. Craig medical student summer research fellowship program is to enable medical students who are interested in research to conduct projects under the guidance of faculty on the Chicago campus of the University of Illinois College of Medicine (COM). Each student selects a research sponsor who agrees to supervise the student on a project during the summer months and helps the student to prepare for a poster presentation at the COM Research Day and ensure that the student fulfills all requirements of the fellowship.
