About
Hi all! I’m from Troy, Michigan. I went to the University of Michigan where I studied Biology, Health, and Society and minored in Spanish. I attended Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. My love for primary care and public health was shaped by my experiences both in undergrad and medical school. From studying vaccine hesitancy among children living with HIV, supplying patients with shoes in the hospital who arrive without them, and listening to the experiences of undocumented immigrants and the impact of immigration raids on their health, this showed me just how deeply health is shaped by life beyond the clinic walls. As a family medicine physician, I aspire to be the best advocate I can for my patients, especially while practicing my clinical interests in women’s health, reproductive health, and gender affirming care. I am so excited to train at UIC, where these values are seen in everyday practice. In my free time, I love taking walks (or maybe even a jog?!) along Lake Michigan, exploring the many cafes and restaurants of Chicago, and cuddling with my cat, Stormy.
