Sauharda Rai is an Assistant Research Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at George Washington University. His work focuses on global mental health, including stigma reduction, health system strengthening, digital mental health, and the psychosocial impacts of conflict and migration. His research uses mixed methods, integrating implementation science, participatory approaches, and intervention research in low-resource settings. He has extensively collaborated with people with lived experience of mental health conditions (PWLE) to develop participatory approaches in mental health research and practice in low resource settings including Nepal and Uganda.
